This Privacy Policy explains how Real Soon LLC (“Real Soon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our time tracking and productivity services (the “Service”). By using Real Soon, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
When you sign up for Real Soon, we collect information such as your email address, password, first and last name, date of birth, and basic preferences. If you sign up with Google, we receive the information you allow Google to share with us.
In the course of using Real Soon, we collect activity logs such as window titles, app names, notes you create, and other productivity data you enter into the Service. Real Soon does not capture or upload screenshots of your screen.
We may also collect limited technical data automatically, such as your device type, operating system, and interactions with our platform. Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, to remember preferences and understand usage patterns.
2. How We Use Information
We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve Real Soon. This includes providing time tracking features, generating insights, and personalizing your experience.
Real Soon uses the Google Gemini API to contextualize your activity — for example, turning raw window titles into meaningful time entries, categories, and summaries. Your activity data is not used to train Gemini or any other AI model. You can disable AI contextualization at any time in the app's settings; when disabled, activity data is not sent to Gemini.
We may also use your information to send you service updates, announcements, or marketing communications if you have opted in. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
We may use aggregated or anonymized data for analytics and product improvement.
4. Data Storage and Security
We store user data in secure systems and take industry-standard measures to protect it, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Access to user activity data is restricted by default. Real Soon personnel do not browse your activity data in the normal course of operating the Service. We only access your data with your explicit consent — typically when you request support or report an issue — or when required to investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, or comply with a legal obligation.
Your data is stored for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, subject to legal requirements.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your data under privacy laws like GDPR or CCPA. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict how we use your personal information.
You may request deletion of your account at any time. You may also contact us to request an export of your data. While we do not yet provide a self-serve export tool, we will make reasonable efforts to provide your data in a portable format upon request.
You may opt out of marketing communications by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us.
Real Soon also includes built-in privacy controls within the app: Incognito mode lets you pause all tracking with one click so nothing is recorded or synced, and app blacklisting lets you permanently exclude specific apps from being tracked. You can also disable AI contextualization entirely in settings.
7. International Users
If you are accessing Real Soon from outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to and stored in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. The updated Policy will take effect once posted.
